Smooth healthy skin is a trait that we all need in our lives. Over the years I’ve discovered excellent natural moisturizer staples that I use on my body every day. These staples are 100% natural. They’re not expensive either! I get the majority of my natural beauty products from Amazon because they’re easier to find on this website.
Having awesome moisturizing products will protect the vitality of your skin. The proper moisturizer makes your skin brighter and helps protect against dry skin, stretch marks, and aging. They also protect you from the dryness that comes with the harsh winter weather.
I only use natural moisturizers because many other moisturizers are filled with chemicals. My rule of thumb regarding anything I put in or on my body is that if I read the ingredients and don’t understand a particular ingredient, I’m not going to buy nor use that product.
Here are 4 of my natural moisturizer staples:
Hair & Body Moisturizer Staples
1. Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is great for the improvement of skin issues such as dandruff, dermatitis, burns, aging, eczema, and psoriasis. It can also be used as a shaving cream. Using oil to shave makes the shave last longer and makes it less likely to cut yourself with a razor. My hair gets really dry, really easily, and coconut oil helps me with this issue. I usually just put a decent amount on my hands and rub it throughout my scalp and hair ends.
Actress Lisa Bonet has credited her non aging and beautiful skin to coconut oil.
I use organic coconut oil, which is what I use on my body as well,” Bonet tells The New York Times her routine. “I was using coconut oil before the current craze. It’s simple and pure. Why put a lotion on your body that has 10 ingredients when you can put on one that is from nature and smells divine and does the job
I know that’s right girl! 😀
2. Castor Oil
Castor oil is great for promoting hair growth, enhancing your hair color, treating fungal infections, and soothing muscle soreness. You can also use it as a spot treatment for skin problems.
3. Unrefined Black Soap
Authentic black soap appears brown, not black. Black soap is great for shampoo, makeup remover, acne breakouts, fade skin discoloration, dark spots, acne scars, reduces discomfort from psoriasis and eczema, and helps relieve skin rashes.
4. Shea Butter
With a concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter, it makes it enormously nourishing and moisturizing for skin. Often, Shea butter is used to cure dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
That is all I have for today on moisturizing. Just remember staying moisturized is key. Thanks for reading! Peace & love!
